The Alhambra Retirement Community,

At the request of the Executive Director and the Chaplain of The Alhambra Retirement Community, I delivered weekend Black History snippets during the evening meals as well as during the Sunday worship service. These activities culminated in being asked to deliver the Black History Month sermon on February 28.

This webinar offered recruiters some new ways to identify potentially qualified and qualified women for upper management and executive positions.

Relating to having hope in the face of adversity, the sermon consisted of giving an overview of the story of Ruth and Naomi followed by an introduction to the song, "Always Tomorrow." There was a spoken transitional that provided more of the story followed by the conclusion and the song, "How Great Thou Art."

A discussion of the tools useful in how to research and get hired into a corporate Legal Department. The hour-long presentation also covered which legal newspapers are available, how to research businesses and law firms, and other strategies for getting hired.

Trained as legal advocate on behalf of women who have suffered from domestic abuse. Served as adviser for development of a presentation to residents of Union Station Homeless Shelter (Pasadena) about sexual assault. According to one case manager, this was the best attended and best received of presentations to the population to that date.

Intake screener, mediator, and facilitator. Focused on working with two other mediator panelists, our goal was coming to an agreeable resolution of sometimes very difficult situations. Achieved a 98% resolution success rate.
